Payment Options & Plans

Pay Online

  • Pay with e-Check (Free)

    Pay with no processing fees and no physical check required. Just provide your bank routing and account number and your payment will be deducted from your checking account.

    1. Log onto MyFIU. See Access MyFIU for help.
    2. Select the “Financial Account” tile.
    3. Select ‘Make a payment’
    4. Select “e-Check” as your payment method.
    5. Enter your bank routing and account number.
    6. You may make a partial payment by check online.
    7. Click the next button to continue with the online payment process.

    Payments cannot be canceled once they have been submitted.

  • Pay with Debit or Credit Card (Transaction fees apply)

    Credit card payments are accepted from MasterCard, American Express, Visa, and Discover. There is a 2% non-refundable surcharge applied to all domestic credit card payments and a 4.25% non-refundable surcharge for all international credit card payments.

    The following CANNOT be processed online: credit card cash advance checks, money market checks, and home equity checks. See options to pay on campus.

    1. Log onto MyFIU. See Access MyFIU for help.
    2. Select “Financial Account” then “Make a Payment.”
    3. Select debit or credit card as your payment method.
    4. Entering the desired payment amount. You may enter partial payments or pay the full amount.
    5. Click the next button to continue with the online payment process.

    Payments cannot be canceled once they have been submitted.

  • International Wire Payments

    FIU has partnered with Flywire to offer streamlined and cost effective payment method to send international payments. Therefore, we ask you to send all bank transfer payments through Flywire.

    1. To get started, go to Flywire to create a Flywire login and fill out your payment details. Once the necessary information is entered, you will receive payment delivery instructions on how to send your payment to Flywire by visiting your bank (online, phone, or in person).
    2. Flywire will convert the funds and will send the amount to FIU where it will be credited to your student account. If your home currency is not available, you can still save by sending your payment in one of the many currencies offered.
    3. You will be able to login to your Flywire account at any time to track the progress of your payment. Once FIU receives your payment we will send you a payment confirmation email. Please note – it may take up to 3 business days to post the payment.

Pay in Person

  • Self-service Station (Kiosk)
    Self-service stations accept cash, check, money order, cashier’s check traveler’s check and are available 24/7. They are located in Primera Casa (PC) next to PC 120 (MMC), in Everglades (Housing) and in the first floor of the SASC building.
  • Student Financials Counter

    The Student Financials Counter, located in the SASC building, accepts cash, money orders, personal checks drawn on a US financial institution in US currency, cashier’s checks, traveler’s checks, and the FIU One Cards. For more instructions see below:

    Credit Cards: We do not accept credit card payments at either campus. Pay online instead.

    Checks: Make checks payable to the order of Florida International University and include your Panther ID number.

    One Card: Please note if you have a balance from your book advance, you must wait 2 weeks from the time of acceptance before you can use these funds to pay for enrollment, housing. FIU One Card payments are not accepted online nor are they refundable from the cashier’s counter.

Pay by Mail

    1. Make out check or money order to: FIU
    2. Make sure to add the Panther ID to the memo line
    3. Mail to:

Payment Plans

  • Payment Plans

    FIU Housing offers the following payment plan options:

    • Pay 3 installments 33.33% of Housing fees.
    • Pay 4 installments 25% of Housing fees.

    A late payment fee of $100 will be assessed if installment payments are not made by their respective due dates.

    1. Log onto MyFIU. See Access MyFIU for help.
    2. Select the “Financial Account” tile, then “Enroll in Payment Plan”.
    3. Choose the plan options that’s right for you
    4. Follow the onscreen instructions to process your first payment and service fee and fully enroll.
