Between May 15 - August 2, 2026, FIU opens its residence halls to non-FIU students for summer programs. This includes individuals with internships in the South Florida area. Participant must provide proof of internship from accredited employer.
Please Note: Spacing will be limited for Summer 2026 and available on a first come, first served basis. Registration alone does not secure accommodations. Spaces will be released if registrations are incomplete and 50% deposit is not provided.

Rates and How to Register
The housing available is a private bedroom in a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment in University Towers for $43 per person per night. Each intern will get a key for their own room, but the apartments will be shared with interns of the same sex/gender.
The rooms are furnished but do not include linens. The kitchen has a stove and refrigerator, however, there is no microwave and interns must supply their own cookware and kitchen accessories.
The registration process for FIU intern housing is now open. To register please click on Intern Registration, once on the site you will have to:
- Click on Register Here
- After you create an account, click on Individual Intern Interest Form at the top. (Do not click on Conference & Event Interest Form)
- Click on Intern Housing 2026
- Answer all questions asked
- You have to upload your proof of internship along with proof you were attending a college or university for spring 2026 semester. Please Note: It may take 1-2 business days for your documents to be reviewed.
- After the submitted documents are reviewed and approved, you will have to login to the system again to select your dates for intern housing, Intern Housing is available May 15-Aug.
- The next step after entering your dates will be to make a payment. A 50% deposit is due to secure the space.
